Radial Deformation Control of Ductile Iron Pipe

Radial deformation should be calculated as ductile iron pipes are only subjected to external loads.
The backfill load can be calculated according to the following formula:
Pe=0.001γH
In the formula
Pe —– backfill load, MPa;
γ—-weight of backfill soil, kN/m3;
H —- the distance from the top of the pipeline to the design ground, m.
The ground accumulation load should be calculated according to the actual situation, and 0.01MPa can be taken when there is no data.
Ground vehicle loads are calculated separately.
The radial deformation rate of ductile iron pipes should meet the requirements of the formula:
Δ≤Δmax
Δ—-the radial deformation rate of the pipe, %;
ΔMax—-The maximum allowable radial deformation rate of the tube, %.
The radial deformation rate of ductile iron pipes and the calculation method of the maximum allowable radial deformation rate of ductile iron pipes are explained separately.
